SALEM -- The U.S. Senate has confirmed Oregon's newest federal judge. The Senate confirmed Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Michael McShane in a voice vote Monday. McShane will be a U.S. district judge in Eugene. McShane replaces Michael Hogan, who retired last year. Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley applauded the confirmation, calling McShane a tremendous addition to the court.
