Pulaski County Planning Commission Watershed Vote attempt to stop free speech 02.wmv
The Pulaski County Planning commission held a meeting November 22 at 3pm to discuss the Lake Maumelle Watershed Plan. The meeting was supposed to be a public hearing, but the plan had been written long before the public was made aware of it. The Planning Commission wanted to vote on the plan during the last meeting October 25th, but decided to table the plan after overwhealming opposition by people against the plan. Central Arkansas Water, which hired a PR Firm 2 years ago to write the plan, had passed a resolution supporting the plan last night. After allowing Van McClendon to waste around 30 minutes on changes that nobody asked about, the Planning Commission attempted to limit public speaking to 30 minutes total. Several people, including a Quorum Court Member, disagreed. The meeting started at 3pm and ended around 6:10pm. The Quorum Court started at 7pm.
