Rice said he is disappointed by the unfortunate circumstance because he holds his officers to a much higher standard. Rice is waiting for the results of the Caribou County Sheriff Office's investigation of the situation to take more action, he said. Details of the investigation are not being released at this time, said Sheriff Ric Anderson, because those details could compromise the investigation. The sheriff's office is still conducting interviews and there is no indication of how long the process will take, Anderson said. Stuckey was arrested on New Year's Eve after an altercation with his girlfriend, Jamie Hemmert, 27. Stuckey has been charged with battery and disturbing the peace. Hemmert has also been charged with battery and disturbing the peace. Regular citizens can typically bounce back from this kind of charge, but for a law enforcement officer, it could mean the end of a career, Rice said.
