It has been a long time coming but I just heard the news this morning and I quickly verified it with some sources online and it is my absolute pleasure to announce we will soon have concealed carry laws in all 50 United States Today, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Illinois' ban on carrying concealed weapons This is the result of a lawsuit filed by two individuals and the Second Amendment Foundation Michael Moore, a former corrections officer from champagne Illinois along with Charles Hooks, a farmer in Percy Illinois together with the Second Amendment Foundation of Washington challenged the Illinois ban on concealed carry And today the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals overruled lower court rulings against their lawsuit Judge Posner wrote in the court's majority opinion that the second amendment confers a right to bear arms for self defense that is as important outside the home as it is inside Illinois was challenged to justify their ban against concealed carry and was unable to do so Today's Appeals Court judgment also requires Illinois state lawmakers to create a new law that legalizes concealed carry within 180 days A bill has already been written by Representative Phelps of Harrisburg, Illinois So within three months we hope to see Illinois' CCW status changed and the last state to deny citizen's right to defend themselves will finally join the ranks of the other 49 states Congratulations to all of us and especially those of you in ...
