Serb Fest Chicago 2012 WHERE: Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral Church Grounds, 5701 Redwood Drive, Chicago, IL 60631-2933 (South side I-90 and Canfield Rd.) Friday - we sold out of our posno food by 730pm. Everyone loved the pizza, fish tacos and shrimp kebabs. They were flying off. We had over 500 people on Friday. This was the biggest attendance to a Serb Fest Friday, ever!! The biggest shock was that almost 40 people took the Blue Line Shuttle on Friday alone. I was ecstatic. Saturday was packed. Well over 2000 people. We had 11 vendor booths, and we even had to turn 3 away. Video from the big tent into the inside bar showed everything that was going on in the big tent. At the end of the day, we had only 4 pigs left and had to scramble to get more. Luckily we found 5 more at Cicero Meat, but were about to draw straws to see who would go to Hobart, Indiana to pick up 5 more. At one point, I actually stood back and looked at the entire grounds at once. Everything was filled. There were people at all of the bounceys, the Eurobungy was non stop, the amusement games were busy, concessions were full, every vendor had people at them, people were getting on and off the shuttle, the Church tours and Culture exhibit were full and continuous, the volleyball courts were being used, people were singing and dancing, both inside and outside bars were full and there was a long line for food and drinks.
