Members of the 'Elkhart 4' are pushing for their case to be heard in the State Supreme Court. Petitions to transfer the case to Indiana's highest court were filed last week. The State Appeals court ruled in favor of Blake Layman, Levi Sparks and Anthony Sharp last month, reducing their sentences for their felony murder convictions to 45 years, but not overturning the convictions themselves.
