The son of a Louisiana man killed during a 2011 Beaumont oil rig accident settled out of court on Monday with his father's former employers for an undisclosed amount of money. According to the suit, Scottie Wayne Burnett, 40, was working as a "rigger" at a Jefferson County drilling site on March, 19, 2011, when sections of a rig collapsed, crushing him.
