BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A New York woman convicted of suffocating her 8-year-old daughter has received the maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life. Candace Cartagena (cart-uh-HAYN'-yah) was sentenced Tuesday in Erie County Court, where she was found guilty of second-degree murder last month.
