City Police Arrest Four In Tire Case By BRIAN KIDWELL FRIDAY, MAY 27, 2011 Ogdensburg police on Thursday arrested four city men in connection with a pair of tire thefts last summer and fall. Charged with felony third-degree burglary were Joshua R. LaRock, 29, of 315 New York Ave., Benjamin B. Ramsey, 29, of 1915 Jay St., and Joshua M. Fradja, 24, also of 1915 Jay St. Patrick W. Compo, 23, of 1 Williams Drive, was charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. According to police, Mr. LaRock, Mr. Ramsey and Mr. Fradja broke into a warehouse July 20 at Regan's Collision Service, 904 Champlain St., and stole 16 Cooper brand tires worth a total of $2602.08. The trio allegedly did it again on Sept. 26, this time taking 28 Cooper tires totally valued at $3127.20. Each time, entry was gained to the Regan's warehouse by peeling back siding. Mr. Compo had the tires in his possession in October, according to Ogdensburg Police Detective Robert H. Wescott. Mr. LaRock and Mr. Ramsey were arraigned in city court before Judge A. Michael Gebo. He ordered Mr. LaRock held without bail at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, due to a pending criminal contempt charge. The judge set bail for Mr. Ramsey at $2500 cash or $5000 bail bond. Mr. Fradja is already jailed for a prior criminal contempt charge. Mr. Compo was set to be arraigned Thursday night. A preliminary hearing in city court has been set for May 31.
