Nobles and Daughters from throughout the Imperial Domain are requested to make plans to attend the first national Jubilee Day celebration in Washington, DC on June 3, 2012. This is the first national celebration of this historic event in the history of the organization. Jubilee Day is celebrated to commemorate the ruling by the United States Supreme Court that the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine of North and South America and its Jurisdiction, Inc. (Prince Hall Shriners) was authorized to wear the Fez and other regalia and to use the name Shriner and other titles to identify themselves as Shriners. The ruling by the United States Supreme Court was handed down on June 3, 1929, and overturned lower Court rulings in Georgia, Texas, and Arkansas.
