Texas Public Service Association at Texas State
I was walking down to the river earlier, today when I saw a firetruck at the tennis courts. I was startled for a moment when I saw someone run by holding what appeared to be a gun. From my side of the street I couldn't tell that the gun was orange, but I figured that the crowd standing around watching was a good indicator that a real gun had not been drawn. I've been carrying my camera around 24/7 everywhere for a week or so with the philosophy that anything worth taking a second look at is worth shooting. As it turns out it was a Texas Public Service Association competition. Say that six times fast then check out their site www.texaspublicserviceassociation.com They hold regional and states competitions for High School students training for public service. It was a random encounter and I caught the tail end of it so I didn't get as much footage as I would like to have. Firefighters are cool!
