Palmer Hall Reads Cynthia Harper's Poem---Voices de la Luna
Cynthia Harper lived in San Antonio, Texas, was a librarian for the US Court of Appeals, and taught English and creative writing for Palo Alto College. She co-edited an anthology, Poets from the Springs, and her work appeared in how many moons: a collection of five Texas women poets. Her chapbook, Ruffled Socks, is a reminiscence of her southern childhood. H. Palmer Hall is the author of seven books and chapbooks including From the Periphery: poems and essays (Chili Verde Press) ; Deep Thicket and Still Waters(Chili Verde Press) and To Wake Again (Pudding House Publications). H. Palmer Hall directs the library and teaches in the English Department of St. Mary's University. He became co-director of Pecan Grove Press in 1990 while editing A Measured Response, a collection of poems dealing with the Persian Gulf War, for Pecan Grove Press. His most recent books are Deep Thicket & Still Waters (Chili Verde Press, 1999) and A Measured Response (Chili Verde Press, 1994).
