The City of League City is teaming up with law enforcement agencies and courts from more than 240 jurisdictions across Texas in a combined efforts to host the fifth annual Great Texas Warrant Roundup beginning Saturday, March 5th, 2011. The roundup is designed to target thousands of defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants from participating jurisdictions. It is believed to be the largest joint operation of its kind with arrests expected to continue for several days. Beginning this week, people with outstanding warrants will receive a notice in the mail. The notices are a reminder to contact the League City Municipal Court within the next two weeks to clear up any warrants. Those who have receive warrants can pay at 200 W. Walker or online at www.leaguecity.com/court. Those with questions should contact the Municipal Court at 281-554-1060.
